The 2018 Ford F-150 Powertrains Have Us Excited

As if the Ford F-Series wasn't already dominant, the 2018 Ford F-150 is coming out with its most advanced powertrain lineup ever. From power to efficiency and strength, the upcoming lineup of F-150 powertrains is about to impress in Woodbridge, and it's got us excited for what's to come to our inventory in the future.

So, what is the 2018 Ford F-150 offering?

  • The second-generation 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 with SelectShift 10-speed transmission produces best-in-class 10.69 L/100 km combined, and an increase of 25 pound-feet of torque over the previous model year.
  • The 5.0-litre V8 powers a best-in-class payload of 1,483 kg (3,270 pounds), with an increase of 10 horsepower and 13 pound-feet of torque over the previous model year.
  • The second-generation 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 produces a best-in-class towing capacity of 5,987 kg (13,200 pounds) because of the unmatched 470 pound-feet of torque.
  • The 3.0-litre Power Stroke turbo diesel V6 will be the first ever diesel engine on the F-150, and is due to arrive next spring.
