Quick Pre-Road Trip Checklist to Make Your Travels Easy and Fun

Road trips can be a lot of fun, but not if you don't prepare yourself well for them. Once you are out on the road it may be easy to find snack foods and rest stops. It may be more difficult to find a repair shop if something goes wrong with your vehicle. So before you head out on your road adventure, follow this quick pre-road checklist to make sure your car is prepared for the journey.

Check your tires to make sure they have the proper amount of air in them, that their tread is good, and that they don't have any holes, puncture sites, or shredding. You may even want to have them balanced and rotated to be on the safe side.

Check your fluids to make sure you have wiper fluid, oil, brake fluid, and transmission fluid. If anything needs to be filled, take care of it before you leave home. You may even want to get an oil change to be on the safe side. They will often check all of your fluids for you at the time they are changing your oil.

Check your lights to make sure they are all working properly. You don't want to get pulled over because of a brake light, headlight, tail light, or turn signal not working. You may even want to buy spare replacements for all of your lights before you leave home, just in case something goes out while you are on the road.

With a little extra time spend making sure your vehicle is ready for a road trip - along with having the perfect car for a road trip - you can make sure your adventure will be as fun and easy as possible. We can provide that perfect car, if you do all the rest.
